low temperature aluminum flux cored wires

low temperature aluminum flux cored wires

Hook:
Working with heat-sensitive white metals like aluminum often involves a trade-off: enough heat to fuse the metal, but not so much that it warps, burns through, or damages the base material's properties.
Solution & Key Features:
Our low temperature aluminum flux cored welding wires are engineered to address this balance. With a lower operating melting point near 420°C, it enables effective joining of aluminum, aluminum alloys, and aluminum-magnesium alloys-including challenging dissimilar metal combinations. The flux formulation works to manage oxide layers and common surface contaminants, offering a practical option for repair work on weathered or lightly soiled materials that might otherwise be difficult to weld.
Product Specifications & Guidance:
Low temperature aluminum flux cored welding wires are suitable for use with basic heating equipment and is designed to be approachable for welders familiar with gas welding techniques. In many applications, the resulting weld bead can develop mechanical strength that matches or exceeds that of the parent metal. For optimal results in production settings, it performs reliably on 3xxx and 6xxx series aluminum alloys. We recommend trial orders for other alloy families.
Availability & Customization:
Readily available in 1.6mm and 2.0mm diameters, spooled in 1 kg packs. We also offer straight electrode formats and support custom packaging and contract manufacturing to meet specific project requirements.
